The bricks provide good heat absorption and make for a cosy mini green house. This is an easy and effective way to get seedlings underway while the soil in the garden warms up. We use a light sheet of perspex recycled from one of our old fish tanks as a cover. When the plants are a good size lift the lid and let them harden off for a week or so before planting out.
